multifunctional building in the arboretum of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences

Rogów | in progress

The concept involves the construction of an integrated complex of new buildings for the needs of a developing arboretum. The new complex of buildings with a consistent architectural form organizes the public space of the arboretum entrance area and clearly defines and organizes the adjacent areas, such as the arboretum's utility, production, and commercial areas. The form of the complex, which is not aggressive in terms of volume and material and is consistent through out, blends into the forest landscape. The wooden facade and green roofs refer to the characteristic features of the place. The entire complex takes the form o fa building winding between the trees in the park, referring to the archetype o fa residential building with a gable roof. The multifunctional building will house office, research, educational, exhibition, and catering facilities, as well as tourist service areas, production, social, technical, storage, and maintenance rooms. The building takes into account the complexity of the arboretum's activities and ensures the smooth flow of tourist traffic, while allowing other key functions, such as research, nursery production, and administration, to continue uninterrupted.
